Dexamethasone has been assigned to pregnancy category C by the FDA . This means that animal studies have shown problems and there are no human studies. Dexamethasone is only recommended for use during pregnancy when there are no alternatives and benefit outweighs risk.
Did you mean allerfrin? There is no FDA category for allerfrin. The active ingredients are triprolidine and pseudoephedrine. triprolidine has been assigned to pregnancy category C by the FDA and should only be used during pregnancy when there are no alternatives and benefit outweighs risk.
It is thought that pseudoephedrine is safe to take during pregnancy.
