After being on Ibrance/Femara for the past 6 months, have now developed inflammatory pneumonitis and was taken off the drug this past month to see if inflammation clears up. This is my 4th round of breast cancer over 20 years and went metastatic 2 years ago. Had previously been on Faslodex injections which worked for 18 months. Have mets to lungs, chest wall, and lymph nodes. Anybody else having respiratory problems while on Ibrance?
I have been on Ibrance for 8 months and have a real problem breathing. When I am active my blood oxygen level drops to 84%. I rest for a minute or two and it goes up to 96%. My doctors don't know what is causing the problem. I had a total mastectomy 5 years ago and in the last year my cancer mets to the outside of my lungs. The ibrance is working my tumors have shrunk more than 50%. I will ask about the possibility of my having inflammatory pneumonitis since no one has come up with a reason for my breathing problem.
