In 2009, I injured my back and my doctor gave me Vicodin. Next came, Percocet followed by three back surgeries, followed by more Vicodin, Percocet , Hydrocodone, Oxycodone, Tramadol, Fetanyl, Nucynta, Dilauded and now Opana ER. I have very low level pain and probably could go without any opioids for relief. I tried tapering and that did not work. I think I should go to detox. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I am seriously considering going to detox to rid myself of Opana ER?

I am also suffering with depression and anxiety attacks.
I would suggest you do something about the depression before you try to get off the opana. You may have to go to rehab, if you can't taper off it on your own. Your doc could help you by giving you the things to ease the withdrawal, like something for anxiety. There is the thomas recipe if you want to try it without going to rehab. Just google it and you'll find it.
I totally agree with kaismama. Get your doc to help you first with your depression and anxiety, then think about getting off Opana.
Where I live the rehabs take ALL of your meds away, you can have nothing as they want to see you at baseline. It might do well to check out rehabs near you, ask if they take you off of antidepressants, or antianxiety meds. Just a heads up on this, something to check out then go ahead and do a rehab that won't take your other meds away from you.
Good luck to you and keep us posted, we care,
