Been splitting a script with a friend, they have access to the doctor but I do not, I've been on 8mg for a few yrs and am being forced to quit, reason isnt important, I've got 3 8mg strips left and am extremely nervous about the withdrawl as I am a chef and have to work, what can I do, obviously tappering down, to avoid the sickness as much as possible?, I'm really scared, but ready...
Dear chef, so sorry to tell you this, but three eight mg films are not really enough to do a proper taper. I am going to suggest you google the Thomas recipe opiate withdrawal and start a walking regimen to help boost your endorphins to help you thru this. I would suggest you take 1/4 of a film and go at least 48 hours between doses if you can. I wish you had more subs, a proper taper that ensures no withdrawal takes more time and subs than you have. Sorry to have to say that. The Thomas recipe is a list of over the counter meds and supplements that will help. The walking will too. Patti
I taperd for one week with 1mg and just stpped, it is hard but read my comments. It is not as bad as people make it out to be, BE STRONG,put your mind to it and I swear it will all be ok. I am sure everyone is going to tell no no it is to soon your crazy, but really it is your decision. Get up and still go to work, tell yourself everymorning to get in the hottest shower you can stand, then blare some music and get yourself ready for the day, it helps alot. Good luck to you I will check and see how your doing? Not everybodies story is a horror story keep that in mind ok. MY husband has had an addiction for 15 years and is on 8 mg twice a day and he had 1 mg taper for a week, and is doing phenomanal right with me. Tell people what you are going through even if its your computer write everyday how you feel.It really helps, realistic things, try walking when you restless even if its 2am and freezing like it is here. On my third day without or fourth, I had no sleep the night before and felt so so bad, I still got up with my 4 kids got them ready for school and went to college.
