Without telling her, I switched my daughter to the generic. After a few days, she told me she felt ill, as if she had missed a dose. A few days later it was clear that the generic was not as good, so she switched back. Now I discover that Greenstone, the manufacturer of the generic, is a subsidiary of Pfizer. They have no motive to make it effective, since failure leads patients to return to the name brand product. Another pharmacy offers a generic from another manufacturer, Ranbaxy. Does anyone know how it compares with Pristiq?
