Viibryd about a month, about 2 weeks of 20mg, and it really seemed to start helping, but insurance denied coverage, so I weaned off, but I feel more depressed than ever. Could it be due to Viibryd, and stopping. I did drop back to 10 mg, and then every other day? Can I get better without medication, I'm scared, and will lose my job if I have to take more time off...
Viibryd is just the newest SSRI that the drug companies have come up with so that they may charge huge amounts of money for. When prozac wad still under patent, I was in college and had to decide on meds or food. That's how expensive it was. Viibryd is the same. There are a lot of other SSRI's on the market with very similar properties to the new drug on the block.
Just want to say I agree with pledge 100%. He's our psych med guru on the site. Just wanted to tell you there are other meds that will help you. One other suggestion, since you have some major anxiety issues, might want to see if your shrink might add a little clonazepam to the mix. Will certainly help with your anxiety issues until the anti-depressant kicks in.
Just my 5 cents worth.
Peace and a calm happiness to you,
Are you eligible for the program from Viibryd's pharmaceutical company Forest? That is how I afford the Viibryd because we do not make enough but we also can't afford health coverage. If you haven't checked into it you should, you might be able to get help paying for the drug or get it for free.
