I have been on 20 mg for 3 years but feel that it is not enough.
Many people transition through a varietiy of anti-depressants for different reasons. Lack of effectiveness. Intolerable side-effects. If you are not incorporating mild to moderate cardiovascular exercise, I would recommend it. Even walking at a brisk enough pace to break a sweat, 5-6 times a week, can release your body's natural anti-depressants, endorphins, and provide a greater sense of well-being to complement the medication therapy.
You should let your dr. Know that what ever you're taking is not working for your depression... The meds differ with each of us, but you are on a low dose of something... Not sure what you're taking... I sure would like to know what you've been taking at 20mgs for 3 years for depression? , because i've taking around 52 differnt meds since 2001 and still suffer from depression, and other mental disorders.
