This is slightly embarrassing but I'll describe it anyway. I'm on 50mg of Seroquel, my 5th day to be exact. Depression has really subsided and I'm feeling better but I noticed a big problem (for me anyway). I'm not overweight and I try to exercise and eat healthy most of the time, never have terrible cravings except the normal pre-menstrual stuff that I can usually curb with willpower. Lately, in the last day or two, I've been having straight up food fantasies. I'm having trouble concentrating because I'm thinking about huge Henry VIII style feasts and mini pastries. No real change in hunger pangs or increased appetite/portions. Not sure if this is an ACTUAL side effect or what. It's weird! Anyone else experience it?
Only 5-days, need a minimum of 2-3 weeks for this sort of medication to start really working. As for "eating healthy" I would have you do some research, look into the affect of sugar in all forms, artificial sweeteners, soy, dairy, gluten, portion size, hydration and eating schedule, you'll be amazed at how our present concept of healthy eating can be off.
Again, this medication will do this to you, your will is stronger once you believe it is, and learn how to override these side-effects with that will power (and the information I mentioned)
