Also is it best to take this in the morning or evening? I've always taken the citalopram at night?
Why are they making you change your meds? I know that everyone is different, but all I can tell you is that I have been on many different medications and getting off of Effexor was harder than getting off of the fentanyl patch, Morphine and any other medication besides Lunesta (which made me hallucinate for 16 hours), I had a really hard time getting off of that too. Not only did the Effexor not work to control my depression or Fibromyalgia, it made me so tired I could fall asleep standing up and could hardly drive my car. But like I said, everyone is different, so this might work well for you. I know it has worked well for others, but definitely not for me. Anyway, physicians and psychiatrists fail to tell people that drugs like Effexor contain a noripenephrin reuptake inhibitor that takes up to a month to get off of with many different side effects that are very unpleasant. I would just do my research and maybe ask your physician some extra questions before going onto a drug like this.
