I got shot on dec 28th, it's now march 29th, my next shot is scheduled April 4th. Which is a week after my due date I believe. What my time period of uncoverage. As in how long does it take that next shot to kick in now that I'm a week late
You're covered for 13 wks, although many people like to get their shot at 11 or 12 weeks, to make sure they don't forget & it can also help with any bleeding they might get.
As long as you get it by 13 wks, you've got continuous coverage against pregnancy, though.
If you get it after time then you'll need to use extra protection for 7 days after getting your shot before you're protected.
