... period ... i have only gotten 2 shots . My last period was on february 24 ... is it normal ? Is there a possibility that im pregnant ?
You don't have periods when you're on Depo.
You don't need them, because it tricks your body into thinking it's pregnant, & stops you releasing an egg (ovulating). Without an egg, you don't need the womb to prepare a lining for a fertilised egg to implant into, & so don't need a period to wash that unused lining out of your body, when it does not receive a fertilised egg.
For the first few shots, you can get what is known as Breakthrough Bleeding. This is because Depo is adding a hormone to your body, & your body has to try to re-balance its hormone levels.
Whilst it is doing that, you can sometimes get this breakthrough bleeding, it can be constant or irregular, it can be light brown discharge, or it can be blood.
Once your body has grown used to the Depo (normally 2-3 shots), you should find you get no bleeding at all, ever, until you come off it.
When you come off Depo, it can take up to 18 months to get your fertility (& therefore your periods) back. Everyone is different & you could get them back sooner, but whilst you are waiting, you could experience breakthrough bleeding.
Hope that helps,
