8 days ago I got my depo shot for the first time since a year ago and me and my boyfriend had unprotected sex on the 8th day of being on the shot. Am I at risk of pregnancy? I was going to take the plan b one step contraceptive but will it even be necessary?
It is not necessary to take plan B. The 8th day you are protected. Until you get past the date the dr said you needed a new shot, you are protected and will not need plan B. You do not ovulate, and all plan B does is delay ovulation. You do not need any other form of birth control as long as you keep your shots current. Your risks of pregnancy with the shot are 0.3%.
