I know Deplin primarily helps with depression. But has Deplin helped anyone with generalized anxiety or panic disorder?
I don’t think there’s enough evidence to suggest Deplin does anything more than what a folic acid supplement can do. The supplement is worth a shot, Deplin is probably not. I know you’re looking for options, but there are other options out there that are more legit. I’ve felt at the end of the road before and my doctor always has ideas
I have the MTHFR gene, I take Deplin 15. I have depression & anxiety. I honestly don’t think it does a damn thing other than my folate levels are normal now. . I’ve been taking it for 2 years. Magnesium is supposed to help with anxiety also, butt... I don’t notice a difference, been taking that for a long time also. I think everything is hit or miss for everyone.
I think it is reasonable to conclude that for a person with a condition (MTHFR) marked by low efficiency of converting folic acid to methylfolate, then supplementing with methylfolate in the form of Deplin could reduce anxiety levels and thus panic disorder symptoms - assuming the person is also avoiding folic acid.
