Added 6 Jan 2010:
i had a check up and found out i still have my blood clot and it is in my inner vena cava
Age, sixty two and soon to be sixty three.
I have a clot still in my head called Venous Sinus Thrombosis in 2004 and spent a week or so in hospital, with them trying to figure out why it happened. I was not hit on the head or anything. Then another DVT in my arm, witch I might say both were very pain full. Terrible head aches from the one I had in head. They found out it was caused by a disorder I have called Leiden factor V, witch is passed down the family tree. My arm was ok but I've had head aches from 2004 till now, 2010. I have been on Morphine for all these years. I take daily dose twice a day and have higher dose of immediate Morphine up to 3 times a day. They have gotton better and I use much less Morphine now, but was told clot may never wear away or dissolve.
I have been on Medical since 2004.
i am a 25 year old female, with DVT & bi-lateral PE's. with NO explination for why or how it happend. no blood disorders, or family related illness. no injury, surgery, or long flights. :-/ i'm currently involved in a medical trial, they tried to remove the clot twice, but both times i re-clotted days later. i am on coumadin for the rest of my life, and am in the process of getting a STENT placed in my vein in the up coming weeks.
