assume it was caused because of a mixture of a running injury, followed by several hours of driving, and being on birth control. Now I'm freaking out and just looking for some support from people who have been through this. I work at a very active job as a special ed teacher with kids with autism, and am constantly up and down even though I am trying to take it easy, how "easy" do I need to take it? How long has it taken for other people to heal? How do I need to change things in my life permanently? Thanks for any and all advice!
You need to see a hematologist. It could be because of the injury or you could have an underlying condition that was brought on by the injury. It is best to check & depending on if you have a condition you would have to come off of your birth control and switch to another method. The best thing you can do are leg exercises and walking to help heal the area over the long term.
