The donor site. What layer of the skin should be removed. Or how deep should it go. Cause I feel a tingling sensation where the donor site is.
I was confused for a moment but I now presume you are speaking of skin grafts? For some things like small cancers they may remove a full thickness plug from somewhere hidden. For burns they kind of shave it off leaving the donor area looking like a case of gravel rash with tiny red points where they have removed a live layer of your skin. The tingling is probably just sensitive nerve ends while the site recovers and regrows.
