Hair turning grey is like lights on a Christmas tree strand going out and it individually does so without necessarily affecting the whole strand. Grey hair will not turn back to its original color because that indivdual follicle that the hair is growing out of stopped producing melanin, the natural pigmentation for the hair. Heredity is the major factor for how fast a person greys with stress being the next leading factor. In rare circumstances, sometimes medical conditions and treatments can change the color of the hair, but, it is pretty much just your own body refusing to produce pigmentation in the follicle that is causing the premature greyness. There are many products, both natural and store bought, that can be used to color your hair and beard and will disguise the fact that the hair has greyed.
