Dear all, I am new in this coloum and anybody can tell me what is the purpose of getting the points when you post question or when your reply to question? Is the points given will give any meaning to us?
Dackman, first to your question. The points accumulate as you ask and answer more and more questions. This isn't just a prestige thing, but as you answer questions about things you know about, you're helping someone and at the same time helping yourself. So the points add up, but as they do, you learn so much, about conditions, about other members, it's really worthwhile to be as involved as you can.
Next, I just added you as a friend, and the reason I did was because I also have panic attacks and I thought you brought out one OUTSTANDING point in your answer to the young lady who was having pain, anxiety and panic attacks and she was quite frustrated... can't remember her name this minute. But you told her, that when having a panic attack, it's important to have someone with you who know's about your attacks and can help you if you need it. I thought that was a super suggestion that I've never heard before. I know when I've had a few of my attacks I was terrified to be alone, but you never know when one is going to go from bad to worse!!! And that's when you really do need someone with you.
