How do you deal with temptations to eat foods that may cause overgrowth or other health problems?
Especially when your friends are describing how delicious a certain food is.
I guess its related to control, like giving up smoking, which is rather difficult habit to kick, but when its gotta be done, its done, I quit after smoking for 35 years, its shear will power & the determination to deal with temptations.
Try it, it would be trouble some to start with, but one then gets used to curbing ones temptations.
Please take care, my best wishes with you, & you shall be in my prayers each morning.
I am a person who could demolish a bag of Potato Chips in a sitting, there is something about the salty, crunchy taste one calls for another and another and so on I use to invision myself at the grocery store (sitting in the aisle with a bad open eating till my hearts content, of course I wouldn't do that but a person can dream can't they?) I try hard to do this and it seems to help me whether it be a dessert (which I am not as bad about as some other things) I just leave it in the confines of the grocery, because I know full well once it comes in the door if I shouldn't indulge look out, No holes bard, so if I don't have it in the house I am not about to make a trip back to the store if I've had the determination to leave it there, it's far too hot and humid and gasoline prices are also extreme, this may not work for you but it's one thing I guess if it's not here then I can't consume it. best wishes,
I find that if you make some rules that you can follow it helps alot. Usually during the week I don't eat junk food but in the weekend I eat what I like. When I crave something I always drink water and try to keep my mind busy. Have some cut carrots and celery when your really craving, At the beggining you will have trouble doing it but don't get disapointed, try again. It gets easier. Hope this helps!
