So I went to dentist & he said it could be a tooth but he was not sure. He gave me amoxicillin to take for 2 weeks. He also wanted to give something for my pain, but I turned it down cause I quit norcos 2weeks ago. Anyways I feel horrible. I am trying a decongestant meds to see if it helps. It so hard when the pain is so severe. Could this be sinus pressure? I don't have runny nose or sore throat. Anyways I wish the OTC pain meds would work. Better days... Smoovechic
Been dealing with headache & eye pain & teeth hurt. I went to Dr he said my sinuses looked fine?

I been clean from my narcotics for 2 weeks. The only thing to help with this pain is narcotics. I would be good if I wasn't so miserable right now. I could have got my pain meds but I told myself I could handle the pain. When I was on norcos for 3 years I hardly ever had pain. Now life sucks. Hope everyone is having a great day....... Smoovechic
Excellent that you have held in there for two weeks. Passing by the pain med. you are really determined. Keep it going. Congrats. How true it is that it is one day at a time.
As for the pain, I am surprised that the dentist did not X-ray and have a definitive answer. Or perhaps he did and that is why you got the antibiotic?
If I were in your shoes, I would call my regular doc back and tell him this is still going on, you have worked hard to get clear of the narcs and what can he do for you?
The hard part is you may be hyper sensitive right now to pain. Hang in there and I hope someone listens to you soon.
hi smoovchic, give that amoixocillon some time to go to work. but you turnning down the pain meds musta took a lotta strength. it sure shows just how much you want this change in your life.i'm proud of you and we are all pulling and praying for you and your family.way to go girl... pete
Smoovechic, I hope you're starting to feel better now. I have both severe allergies and migraines so I know that it's hard to focus on anything else when your head and face hurt so bad. Kudos to you for staying strong off the drugs. That's not easy. You might also try a 12 hour nasal decongestant, but no longer than 3 days on and then 3 days off. My allergist taught me this trick and it can really help with sinus pain and pressure, even if you don't have a stuffy nose. Hope this helps and you're feeling better soon!
Walks like, quacks like, feels like, must be a sinus infection or congestion. I had the same thing last week and hot two weeks of Amoxocillin. How did your doc see your sinuses? It's a good thing you went to the dentist, at least he had some sense. Let sinuses go long enough, turns into bronchitis too from drainage from sinuses. It's happened to me too many times to count. Glad you got something for it. Long hot showers helped loosen me up. Just sayin'. I always double the first dose of antibiotics to get my blood level up faster, or else it takes longer to kick in. Sudafed might loosen you up or nasal douches with salt water. Thank always fun.
Congratulations on saying no to drugs. I know it was hard, but when the congestion subsidies you will feel lots better. While there are so many mu receptors in your brain, it's gonna be hard going with non-narcotic pain relievers, but keep on hangin' on. I have faith in your decision.
If you are still having pain then I would see an Otolaryngology doctor, otherwise known as an ENT (ear, nose, and throat) doctor. You may be having an issue with your upper sinuses instead of your lower sinuses. You do not want a regular doctor poking around your upper sinuses.
Hope you are feeling better soon and way to hang tough on saying no to narcotics medication. I know that it is very hard.
I have to say I know your pain. My eye tooth has been hurting for, I swear ten years! Like you I have been to the dentist, had x rays, went to see about my sinuses and I have a Neurologist. No one can find anything. I have major headaches and eye pain. I want to say sorry for what you are going through!
