Gangrene can be caused by infection or lack of oxygen to the area. Diabetes makes it harder because of the delay in healing.
The way to relieve the pain is to correct the cause.
Antibiotics for infection.
By-pass or Angioplasty to reconnect the arterial vessels so the blood supply and oxygen will treat the gangrene.
Surgery to the affected area.
Skin grafts to cover the affected area once it's under control.
Hyperbaric Chamber treatments regularly will provide oxygen.
