... changes but then comes more rain from spring.help. My pain sucks from november to may. Not on any pain meds or anything. So tired of this crap. I need to feel better, I still have hope that I will but getting very hard to stay positive. Cold weather and changes in weather bother me .
Many of us with fibro have no insurance because this country thinks we are expensive and would charge us way more then we can afford. I was on gabapentin rather then lyrica because its very cheap, and venlafaxine instead of cymbalta, and I take tramadol. The cheapest way to get these generics, I found, was to pay $20 a yr to walgreen's and get their card, and my pills were low in cost. There may also be the possibility that you qualify for medicaid. Also, if you need a brand name med, there are several places you can get help paying for them.
Also the fibromyalgia experts say that exercise is the single best remedy for fibromyalgia--not to take away from the positive effects that can be had from taking medication. Trazodone is a cheap medication that has helped my fibromyalgia. But if you were looking for some non-medical forms of treatment, exercise would be it, but start off slowly and never overdo it. And try for Medicaid, but if you are not qualified, see if your state is taking advantage of Obamacare which allows States to opt to increase the coverage for Medicaid. Our state is currently in the process of extending Medicaid coverage to an additional 400,000 people. At least 7 other states including Florida and New Jersey have also extended benefits, but it takes some time to take effect. Good luck.
