My cycle has very regular for the past two years, never missed a period . The day my period was suppose to come white thick glue like discharge came, for the past week. Five days later I went to the OBGYN, negative results, the doctor didn't bother testing me for blood. I'm not sure if the depo is what is keeping my period away or if im pregnant. In the mornings my stomach is harder, and I wake up craving things. I get really nauseous in the mornings and dizziness. I still occasionally have white discharge coming out. I had an appointment before OBGYN maybe a week before I weighted 169, and when I went in to the OBGYN I weight 174. Please help, idk what I should do? Also the day of my very first depo shot and I had unprotected sex, and he did ejaculate inside me.. Help..
So you feel there's a chance that you could have been pregnant before getting your first shot?
Plus, you didn't get your first shot during the first 5 days of your period, so you needed to wait 7 days before relying on the Depo Provera to cover you against pregnancy.
You need to do a pregnancy test then, don't you? If it comes up positive, don't panic as Depo Provera can sometimes cause positive urine pregnancy tests. You'll then need to have a blood pregnancy test done, to check.
Depo Provera can cause extra discharge, although, given that you already had it on the day you got the shot, it could be thrush. If there's any itching or soreness, you may have thrush.
Depo Provera is known to cause significant weight gain, so best up your exercise regime if you haven't already, to stop that from happening.
As Depo Provera is a chemical/artificial version of the same hormone present when a woman is pregnant, it can give lots of the same side effects. Most subside by the time you've had 2 or 3 shots, but the weight gain is one of the most common to hang around.
