Disorder and depression. Is this normal?
Yes. It takes at least 2-3 weeks to settle in, sometimes longer, although this should begin to improve during that time.
I take the generic version, sertraline and have been on it for 10+ years. It works very well for me. I agree with the other answers that it takes several weeks to get into your system before it levels out. But remember, always check with your doctor before stopping or changing dose etc.
8 days is not enough time for it to level out so, I suggest you keep taking it as prescribed and soon you may notice a different. Try not to stress over it.
