got some on her nose. she wiped it off and i think rubbed her eyes. i didnt notice she doing this but later said her eyes were burning. i grabbed a wet wash clothe and washed her eye. i looked at her eye and she had a little of discharge. she has had a runny nose and in the past she has had pink eye from wiping her nose with hands. i had some ciprofloxacin drops left over and put a drop in each eye. did i do more damage?
Its probably not the best idea, but it would have washed out her eye. Its smart to keep artificial tears in the house when you have kids. Of course when someone gets something in their eyes that could be harmful its perfectly ok to wash them out with tap water. When you work in areas where you could be getting things in your eyes, they tell you to stick you head under the faucet and let the water run right over your eye.
