When I dropped it off at the pharmacy she looked at the prescription and told me she had to call the doctor to be sure it was correct. She said she never heard of it being taken that way. Insurance will only pay for 30 pills a month. Is this safe for my daughter to take 3x a day?
Your pharmacist should have queried the dose with the doctor herself!
The recommended dose of Loratadine for adults and children 6 years and over is 1 tablet daily and not more than 1 tablet in 24 hours.
Check with your doctor before you give your daughter this.
