I just joined and thought I had posted this question, but maybe did not hit correct button
My question is I have suffered from anxiety and depression for over 20 years. I have taken paxil, zoloft, Lexapro and effexor (because of increased blood pressure had to stop at low dose). All antidepressants worked for a time. Now I am on celexa 40 mgs and it is not working only 50 percent. I have been on one month. Now the doctor wants to add Wellbutrin but am scared as I read on-line it can play havoc with anxiety and even cause seizures. Has anyone been on this mixture of drugs. I wish I could just be on one drug. I am scared. Then getting off if it works is another story
Is it dangerous to add celexa to Wellbutrin. I suffer from Gad and depression?

- celexa, paxil, wellbutrin, zoloft, depression, anxiety, generalized anxiety disorder
Wellbutrin is commonly added to SSRI - type antidepressants such as Celexa. I take both a SSRI and Wellbutrin for years. I suffer from depression and anxiety, also. It has worked very well for me though we are all different. If you titrate up slowly, you shouldn't have any problems with anxiety and seizures which is unusual at the therapeutic levels.
