... around $1,000 each. i would like to know what medication can cost that much and has anyone else heard of it? ron
Medicare covers a large portion of cancer treatment. The American Cancer Society also offers a small amount of help. It is quite possible it costs that much, the drug manufacturers seem to have no conscience at all. They know we want to treat cancer, they gouge us. My boy friend got his meds from the hospital pharmacy where he saw the oncologist and he paid very little for them.
Hello rmcltd and welcome to DC. Just to give you some insight into the world of chemo and radiation... those treatments cost thousands each, if you have no insurance. And, experimental treatments can also cost thousands depending upon whether your dad is insured and his insurance "covers" experimental treatment. If this medication works... can you really put a price on that?
I wish your dad well and hope for a brighter, cancer-free future.
