I have been taking 30 mg of Cymbalta several months for Fibromyalgia pain. It helped some, and my doc wanted to increase to 60 mg, but I did not want to increase it because of side effects. I started out taking it in the morning, but would get so sleepy during the morning, so I switched to night. I have been having problems sleeping for several months, and thought this would help. It doesn't - if anything, my insomnia is worse. Now doc wants me to take Trazodone (100 mgs) for sleep. Should I switch my Cymbalta back to morning since I will be taking the Trazodone at night? I haven't gotten the prescription filled yet because I was concerned about taking them together.
mslulu: you can take these two drugs, but not at the same time. taking 30 mg Cymbalta in the AM and your 100 mg Trazadone in PM for sleep would be the proper way to take these two medications. if you have any further problems, please speak to your physician about this. I wish you well :)
