I have been taking cymbalta for about 6 weeks now. I'm not noticing much mood change, could I still need to wait longer for effects?
What doze are you on? Im on 60mg daily, away to up to 90 mg for Fibro as of Friday . My mood has improved greatly and it has helped with pain , on it for about 2 months now ,just need to up the doze for pain . My mood is much better than where I was. Like all meds it wont be an over night mater but am sure in time you will notice a diff in time , hope you do ...
Hi, btm! Four to six weeks is generally considered a *fair trial* for antidepressants. You might want to speak with your doctor about your lack of progress and whether an increase of dosage or a switch to another medication is advisable.
Best regards and I hope you're feeling better soon. Wildcat
Btm; Yes just as Wildcat has already said it is normal that when you first start this medication it can be a bit tough but try and take it about the same time each day is best and normally with this one Cymbalta is really a bit longer than others which are 6 to 8 weeks to get the full blood level but we are all different. But you may want to try a few more weeks prior to having the doctor increase it. good luck
