I was prescribed Cymbalta for it's pain relieving qualities, (depression resulting from being in constant pain and having to deal with WSIB, but that's a whole other story... ). The generic version has zero pain relieving qualities and brought on side effects that I didn't have with the brand name stuff. It was a month and a half of pure hell. I noted the side effects I was having and spoke to my Pharmacist. He immediately out me back on the brand name Cymbalta. (FYI... there is a drug card that covers the cost of Cymbalta almost entirely. Out of pocket cost is less than $2.00. Ask your Pharmacist.
Just a friendly heads up. If you're already in pain, you don't need yet another prescribed drug that doesn't work.
