I have been taking Cymbalta for 3 weeks and two of those weeks have been on 60mg 30mg morning and 30mg night. In addition I am taking sirdalud a muscle relaxant. At fist I did notice I had more flexibility but the pain is the same, as I am going along I am sweating a lot at night and my pain levels aren't really improving. When I was taking the muscle relaxant twice a day I felt less pain but I could not stay awake so now I just take one a day, but my pain has not reduced. I am hoping the Cymbalta will start helping soon as I am feeling low with pain. Any words of wisdom are appreciated.
If you haven't had a reduction of pain after 3 weeks it probably isn't going to work for you.
For pain most people notice a reduction in the first week at 30mg and 60mg is the max recommended for pain. Since you haven't had any reduction in pain then its time to start thinking about other options.
For me 30mg helped a bit so doc put me on 60mg and it didn't work at all. In fact it got worse from Rebound Pain.
Also Cymbalta is hard to get off of after 4 weeks.
