i have had 4 back surgurys starting with laminicty then spinal cord implant stimulater then removal of implant to finaly had fusion last year on l-4 l-5 and s1 would this be a drug that might help im on so many pain meds its unreal im taking 180 mg of morphine + a bunch of other drugs and am in so much pain everyday its dibilatating thanx in advance for your help
Yes, Cymbalta helps with nerve pain. I might well help you with your pain and therefore you could at least reduce the amount of pain reliever you are taking. Another medication you might consider is Lyrica. It also is prescribed for nerve pain.

Pain medications lose their effectiveness over time. Therefore, you are having more pain and the morphine is not doing what it was intended to do. I was on the fentanyl patch 50 mcg to 100 mcg and went off of them early this year. I did not have additional pain. In fact the pain has decreased by going on Baclofen and Gabapentin.
