It is a muscle relaxant.
Initially, I took it at night because it definitely made me tired.
A month later I must have become tolerant because I don't get tired but it's also not working as well. I decided to take it only when all else fails.
Do not take it if you are driving or working with equipment.
I would take it after work only and on week-ends until you see how it affects you.
You could do 2 Alleve (Max 24 hour dose) before work.
Good luck. You may want to think about a job change down the road. You only get one spine in life.
Cyclobenzaprine is a muscle relaxer. It can make you drowsy and sleepy until your body adjusts to the med. Don't drive until you can do safely.
I took it many years ago and it stopped working after a long while. I take Methocarbamol now, it doesn't help much now because I've taken it so long.
