... pretty much a daily basis. Some days are very serious and I vomit a number of times a day. Most days I only vomit once or twice a day. Usually in the evening. I don't eat breakfast or lunch during the week because it is too risky that I will need to vomit and not make it through the rest of the work day. I get very little relief maybe a day or two free from vomiting but that's pretty much it. I exhausted all the anti-nausea medications, I have also taken amitriptyline and sumatriptan without much success. The doctors in my health plan were not very helpful so I went to the Mayo Clinic where I was diagnosed with CVS but at this point the Mayo Dr. I have has not recommendations. Is their anyone who has any suggestions? My quality of life is terrible and I truly don't know how much longer I can continue to go on feeling this terrible.
Have you tried seeing a naturopathic physician? Sometimes they can do a lot of dietary (vitamin, mineral, supplemental) things that regular Western medicine doesnt use. It will be an out of pocket cost for you since most insurances do not cover naturopathic care yet. I used to work for a naturopath and I saw some pretty amazing things and being a Western Medicine trained nurse, I was very skeptical at first. I find it may be the thing to do when Western medicine has no answers for you. They will usually do scads of blood work Western medical Drs may not do and they are great at finding dietary approaches, adding enzymes to help you digest, etc. What have you got to lose?
