It is a shame she is inadequately informed. Aspirin is a well tolerated medication to increase blood coagulation times (it is a blood thinner). It has been demonstrated in clinical trials to be effective in preventing heart attack and strokes.
As for cancer? I don't think much of its cure strategy. Not one single credible cure can be found on the web which is what I would expect.
