... the weight and numerous other symptoms hit my hard and fast about a year ago. I didn't know what was happening until last month. I have not been tested or formally diagnosed but i am extremely scared and very anxious, can anyone tell me what I should expect. Thanks
You'll need to have your blood and urine tested for cortisol levels first. Once you have those results, if your cortisol levels are high, the doctor will determine why. There are several causes of Cushing's. It could involve your pituitary and/or your adrenal glands. If you have high cortisol levels, there are medications which can help. If the Cushing's was being caused by a tumor on one of the above glands, it would need to be removed.
