My concern is my insurance is changing I was approved while covered by Aetna( after being denied 1 yr.ago by united health care.)I have a receipt page that looks like the the harvoni has been paid for in full. I'm worried when I call to renew they will not send because I am now on different insurance due to a new employer.. and this was through Aetna Specialty Pharmacy.I was covered under my husbands plan.and now on my own plan ,anyone know how this might affect me being able to complete treatment,Im so stressed out about it..I need to get my next 2 courses of treatment ! Idon't know howto approach this.
I'm sorry your insurance has changed during treatment. Is there any way that you could either get all of the medication now? Or call the employer to see if they will cover you for the remainder of the treatment? Since your husband still works there I would hope they could help you out. Another thing you could try to call the drug manufacturer to see if they would help you. They have helped many people.
I am sorry to hear you were denied by United or any company. The receipt documentation page will show you everything you need to know: the order #, total quantity, size of dosage, how much of each dosage you take and when, weight or volume of the shipment, the package, case and lot#, release date,the expiration date, it will be traceable back to the manufacturer, plant, to the machine/person who packaged it and the company and approving doctor, nurse practioner by law.
You will see it will be marked as 1 of 3 shipments. The approving Pharmacy contact info, and the approving physician, pharmacist, or nurse practitioner and their FDA license # will be available per federal law. For me this type of medicine was approved to be prepaid as 1 but dispersed accordingly in 3 segments for my and your safety and their monitoring schedule because they are libel per federal law. If you like, Contact the Pharmacy that sent it to you, verify your identity and they can confirm the details of your schedule of shipments -assuming you do not miss any dosages. That is why you will get 2 more early shipments, if you are on top of your meds. But try to relax and don't get discouraged about calling the pharmacy. You see, they will contact you early anyway and survey you to see how much you have left, if you missed any dosages, review/confirm addresses , contact info to make sure everything is up-to-date. They will explain about what you should to expect, and if you experience side effects and they will see how you are doing so far. You can not miss your schedule once you start this medication and they will handle everything for you. be positive, you are the customer, and they will be very helpful and give you insights. Do take notes and write everything thing down. before they hang up they will let you know the schedule and inquire about how and when to contact you at your convenience for delivery.
