Lutera is the birth control I am on.
Althletes foot is a fungal infection. Antifungal drugs dont affect the pill. The drugs that do effect efficacy of BCP's are barbiturates, antibiotics, and anticonvulsants. It is never a bad idea to check with the pharmacist to be sure though. Tinactin spray shouldnt affect BCP, neither should Lotrimen or any of the OTC antifungals. I like Lotrimen personally. I'm sure Tinactin is good too, I've just never used it. Keep your feet clean and dry and wear cotton socks. You might need to sprinkle your shoes with antifungal powder especially if you wear them without socks.
Go to the pharmacy and ask the pharmacist. If you look there is a cream for athletes foot. You need to apply it for about 1 to 2 weeks until it goes away. Make sure you wear flip flops in your tub and around pools. It breeds well when moist. Never walk barefeet until it is gone or you will spread it.
