Cryselle 28 - Started my pill pack a day late and didn't realize it until week 2... Could I be?
Added 7 Jun 2015:
Typically I take all pills during the placebo week. During my last pill pack, I was on vacation and it slipped my mind to take some of them towards the end since I know you don't absolutely have to take them. At first I wasn't worried, and called my next birth control pack in as usual, then started taking the new pack the day I got it. The entire first week, I had unprotected sex. Now, in week 2, I'm realizing that I may have gotten my new pill pack a day late. I didn't realize it until now, when I went to throw out my old pack and realized that with the number of placebos in my old pack it's very possible I started the new a day late since I didn't have a way to "count down" days until my new pack started since I stopped taking the placebos. I'm usually very cautious, but that first week my boyfriend came in me several times. I'm very scared there's a chance I could be pregnant. Was I still protected that first week although I may have started the pack late? Any suggestions on what I do?
You would start it the same day as you always start your pills. I don't understand the confusion. There is an added risk of pregnancy if you go more then 7 days between active pills. If you take your pills correctly you would always start them on the same day of the week.
