The manufacturer claims you are safe after seven full days of the pill but many practitioners prefer that you wait a whole months cycle to be safer. It depends on which source you trust more. If you tend to forget your pills often then you should probably continue to use condoms. Remember that if you miss a pill or go on antibiotics you need condoms as back up. After missing a pill, you want to take the missed pill as soon as you remember, even if it is taking two pills at once, then use condoms as back up for at least 7 days. With antibiotics, they reduce the effectiveness of the pill, so you need condoms as back up the whole time you are on antibiotics and for 7 days after you are finished with them.
