... Currently I am in a stressful situation which causes me to have flareups every few hours, all day long and all night long. My questions is this, I am 45, 6 feet tall and weigh 170 and have found the quickest way to gain relief when I am feeling this way is to severely limit my intake. Is a diet of 500-600 calories a day, primarily pasta, chicken and vegetables, harmful ? I normally eat a small amount mid day and a small amount around dusk and have no hunger pangs, but I am being told a diet under 1200 calories is considered extreme and can be harmful. Thank you
