... because I was not taking the pill on time ( didnt bleed in July). And I took a pregnancy test to make sure I was not pregnant it was negative... its now August 10th and still no period... What could be causing such pain with no period!!!
Hi there, Missmam and welcome to DC. I, too, was one of those women who suffered from very painful and L O N G periods. Mine would last around 2 full weeks with heavy flow and double over type cramps. Then as the years went on any still having those weird periods... a doctor thought the "pill" was the answer for me. I was all of 15 with acne that wouldn't stop either. The pill was supposed to be the "miracle" drug for both of my issues. It did control my flow but did nothing for the acne.
The other thing I developed was endometriosis. That meant for me... not all of my flow came out but went and attached itself to some of my organs. You should be seeing a Gynecologist for these issues. You could benefit, too, from having a professional look at you. Better to be safe than sorry down the road...
You didn't mention how old you are or if you have had these problems before. I had an ultrasound, too, to see how things were going. Prolonged stress can cause those types of issues, too.
I wish you well on this leg of your journey and hope you get results that make sense to you and are easily fixed.
Periods can be very irregular. I have had periods every 2 weeks and actually skipped a whole month. One time I had brown discharge for over two weeks and they gave me medicine to stop it. I have pain during ovulation about halfway through the cycle. I took a pregnancy test when I was 3 days late and it was negative. 2 weeks later I took one and it was positive! It just didn't show up. Your pain could be from a number of things. Maybe it is something not even related to your period. Please see your doctor if it continues. It's better to be safe and make sure something more serious isnt going on.
