How can tessalon perles be administered if patient is unable to swallow whole pills?

You should talk to your pharmacist. Tessalon Perles should not be sucked, crushed or chewed. Numbness or tingling of the mouth, tongue, throat, or face could occur. It may be safer for the patient to try another type of cough medicine that comes in a liquid form.
