I used to be able to buy a 10 mg pill of Selegiline for 10 cents. It's now over a dollar a pill. What is going on?
Hi Josieho, I wish I knew!! I am considering switching from the Emsam patch to the pill because theoretically, it is a generic medication, and should be much cheaper than the brand EMSAM (I'm in the U.S). However, price difference is only about a $100 or so between them!! (Emsam $600 for 90 days, and roughly $500 or so for selegiline, as of late 2011). I will continue to investigate. Pls post again if you find out and I will do the same. It is very frustratingand discouraging when you are looking for a way to reduce your health care expenses, especially in face of rising costs. We are told to 'take charge of our own health' but who can afford even the basic generic drug???
