The shelf life is around 4-6 months. Any longer than that it starts losing its effectiveness. I probably wouldn't keep it any longer than 4 months. The longer you keep it the less likely it will work. Hope this little tidbit helps.

On every prescription bottle there is a "USE BY DATE" which means after that time it will no longer be as effective or possibly become dangerous. There are certain meds (like some anti-biotics) that have a much shorter shelf life than other meds. Always read the directions on your meds carefully. If you aren't certain or you don't understand something about the medication, please call your pharmacist. They are there to answer all your medication questions. Good luck to you,
Chris
