I've been sick since Oct. 26, the doctor says it's bronchitis. I can't stop coughing and I've coughed until I've hurt my back and ribs. I need a cough medication. I know I can't mix most of them with Lexapro. What is a safe, but really effective medication to take to stop this painful and constant coughing?
Ask your dr to call in a script for tessalon perles. They are very effective. They also are fine with your other medications. It kind of sounds like you developed reactive airway disease from the bronchitis. It sounds like its a bigger thing, but its just irritation that causes you to cough. If you can stop the coughing the airway can heal. You swallow the the little perles without water, you want them stuck in your throat they will melt and stop your cough.
