... This is a new Costco policy as of June 3, 2013 requiring patients be seen every 3 months for Class 2 and every 6 months for Class 3 prescriptions. I have Adult ADHD and been on Adderall for 7 years and have seen the same Dr. for at least 20 years, I think he is capable of determining how often I should see him. I live in Idaho, do not have insurance and a medication visit is $175. I was told another pharmacy might fill it. Has anyone else had this problem?
I'm sorry they're screwing with you! DEA is really cracking down on pharmacies regarding that class of drugs along with pain meds. Is there another pharmacy you can try? Did you call your doctor and tell him? Maybe he can call the pharmacy and straighten them out. I agree you shouldn't have to see the doc because the pharmacy says so, that's not their job if you have a valid RX, valid refill, they should call the doc to confirm if they have to, and they should fill it, they shouldnt hassle you about it!
