My first prescription of Ursodiol cost $8 (15% of my copay) in April, today July, it cost me $45! Why is it going up in price so quickly and so much?
Because distributors have found a new way to make money. Generics are skyrocketing. Old drugs that have been around for 40 yrs are now worth more. They are figuring now everyone has insurance, but insurances aren't paying as much of the price as they used either. By forcing us to all have insurance we are now a captive audience and the companies know that. The original act had controls on them, but congress threw them out.
