I am looking to get into a doctor who perscribes suboxine. I live in marietta, woodstock ga area. if anyone can tell me a good dr and about how much it would maybe cost i would really appreciate it. Im tired of spending $50.00 or more a day on these roxys. I want my life back and i have taken a sub one time before and it worked wonders for me but i cant seem to find any anymore. Thanks so much
Hey MaiTai, you can go to the suboxone.com webpage and it has a doctor locator. Click that and put in your area info, it should give you the names of all doctors in your area who are licensed to prescribe suboxone. Write down all the names and numbers and call to check induction fee cost, office visit costs, how often you will be required to visit, and ask if they require the counseling that is supposedly mandatory with suboxone therapy. If they say it is NOT required, then that is really not a good subs doctor. Hopefully someone in your area will see your post and tell you about their doctor. Good subs doctors also don't give people benzos and won't tolerate a patient taking them while on suboxone. If the doctor requires the counseling, that is a good sign they are interested in you healing your addiction, if not, they may be in it to make money. I hate to say that, but some doctors do seem to think they are healing the addiction, and don't require the addiction therapy.
